From the sketchbook to a live stage
Last December I handed out some of the first physical copies of the new Creature Collection sticker singles to a few close friends. No big launch, no announcement. Just getting the work into the hands of people I trust and seeing where it ended up.
One of those friends was Jeremy, someone I have known since middle school. This year Jeremy held his first concert with his band Most Curious at the Boardwalk in Orangevale, California. I was not expecting much when I handed him those stickers back in December. What I did not expect was to see them show up on his guitar at a live performance.
If you watch the full concert video below and look closely at Jeremy’s guitar, you will spot two Creature Collection designs right there on stage. The Biomechanical Cheetah and the King of the Monsters, both sticker singles from the new collection, made their way from the Graphicsbyte studio to a live stage performance in front of a real audience.
That is one of the better things that can happen to a piece of work.
Most Curious performed a full set at the Boardwalk in Orangevale, CA. Keep an eye on Jeremy’s guitar (singer) throughout the set.
3 x 1 inches
Biomechanical Cheetah
Engineered for speed and built for precision. The Biomechanical Cheetah was designed in the same controlled line work and science fiction visual language that defines the Creature Collection. Hydraulic tendons, exposed gears, and a coiled stillness just before the sprint.
3 x 3 inches
King of the Monsters
A biomechanical reimagining of the most iconic creature in science fiction cinema. Same presence, rebuilt from the inside out with industrial anatomy and plated structure. Three by three inches of something that does not blend in.
More From the Creature Collection
Both designs are part of the growing Creature Collection sticker singles lineup available in the Graphicsbyte shop. Each one starts as a pencil sketch before moving into Adobe Illustrator, and every piece is printed on premium weatherproof vinyl built for real world use.
If you want to see the full lineup head to the shop. And if any of them end up somewhere interesting, I would genuinely like to know about it.
